Welcome to libre fabrics
Libre Fabrics is a Copenhagen-based textile studio that brings colour, consciousness, and craftsmanship into the everyday. Founded by Pia Limkilde Bresling, a seasoned interior stylist and certified Vastu Shastra consultant, Libre is born from a deep understanding of how our surroundings affect the way we feel—how colour can lift a mood, soften a space, or gently bring us back to the present moment.
Locally made, thoughtfully designed
Every Libre piece is designed and produced locally in Copenhagen, with care and intention. By keeping production close to home, we eliminate unnecessary shipping and reduce our environmental footprint—while supporting skilled makers who share our values.
100% GOTS-certified organic cotton
We work exclusively with GOTS-certified organic cotton, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of sustainability, from field to finished textile. No harmful chemicals. No shortcuts. Just soft, breathable fabric that feels as good as it looks—and respects both people and planet.
Made to order—nothing more, nothing less
To avoid contributing to the vast problem of textile waste, all Libre Fabrics products are made to order. That means we produce only what’s needed—no deadstock, no overproduction, and no pressure to consume more than you truly want. It’s a slower, more respectful way of working that puts quality, care, and consciousness at the center.
Colour as a way of feeling
Colour is at the heart of everything we do. At Libre, it’s not an afterthought—it’s a language. A mood. A tool for awakening the senses and turning off autopilot. Drawing on Pia’s knowledge of Vastu Shastra—the ancient Indian science of space and energy—we use colour with purpose, to bring harmony, presence, and vitality into your home.
Libre Fabrics is a quiet rebellion against mass production, beige sameness, and disconnected living. It’s for those who want their home to feel alive. And who believe that every choice—every shade, every seam, every moment—can be made with care.
“To me living with colors is a fine balance. I use colors to wake me up in my everyday life - to notice and appreciate all of the routine activities that come with family life.
Bathing the kids, tucking them in at night, cooking, setting the table, cleaning.
When I surround myself with pops of color that I like, they help me notice what I am doing. And I have taught myself to take a moment whenever I get this reminder to appreciate the situation no matter how trivial it might seem"
Thank you so much for being here. And please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any feedback, questions or ideas.
