“To me living with colors is a fine balance. I use colors to wake me up in my everyday life - to notice and appreciate all of the routine activities that come with family life.

Bathing the kids, tucking them in at night, cooking, setting the table, cleaning.

When I surround myself with pops of color that I like, they help me notice what I am doing. And I have taught myself to take a moment whenever I get this reminder to appreciate the situation no matter how trivial it might seem.

And it is not just colors - I've noticed that all my senses guide me to these reminders

- scents, tastes, textures all serve as reminders to appreciate life in all its glory and all its lack thereof.
